North Dakota State running back CharMar Brown was the 14th recipient of the Jerry Rice Award. Brown rushed for 965 yards and 14 touchdowns on 189 carries during the 2024 regular season, an average of 5.1 yards per carry. Brown finished with four 100-yard rushing games and three multi-score games.

Brown's longest run of the year came against Missouri State. Brown hit a hole and burst into the second level of the defense before making a decisive cutback on the safety en route to the endzone.

Third time's the charm

Brown's first three-touchdown game of the season came against Towson. He finished the game with season-highs of three touchdowns and 126 rushing yards.

Bringing the Boom

Earlier in the game against Towson, CharMar Brown had to make the most of a three-yard carry. He took an outside run near the sideline before running through two defenders to find the endzone for his second score of the day.

Showing off the vision

An important part of playing running back is having good vision and CharMar Brown showed why his vision made him so special all season long. Against Murray State, Brown made the first defender miss in the backfield before cutting off his offensive lineman to find the end zone.
