Names to watch
- How will Arch Manning bounce back after an underwhelming Week 1 performance? The Longhorns take on San Jose State, so it should be a get-right matchup for Manning to prepare for SEC play.
- Can Michigan's Bryce Underwood handle the early-season road game in Norman? The highest-ranked offensive recruit in Michigan football history has been thrown right into the action against an experienced Sooner defense. It will be interesting to see how the true freshman handles the environment.
- First road tests for two veteran quarterbacks. ASU's Sam Leavitt and Illinois' Luke Altmyer both go on the road against solid squads in Mississippi State and Duke, respectively. This will be a good benchmark to see if these proven gunslingers can take care of business away from home.
