The Andre Dawson Classic has been a staple in the HBCU baseball community, spanning three decades, four different locations and numerous name changes since 2008.
The annual, round-robin collegiate tournament curated by Major League Baseball was built to highlight HBCUs and their DI baseball programs. Dawson, a 2010 Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, walked on to play college ball at Florida A&M in the mid-1970s.
Non-HBCU programs have also competed in the tournament, such as Southern California in 2008, LSU in 2014 and more. Here鈥檚 a look at the 2025 field and how the 25 teams that have played in the classic have fared historically.
