The 2025-26 academic year is here, and familiar names in the world of collegiate track and field have some new homes after the transfer portal.

We're tracking some of the top transfers from the 2025 offseason below.

Here are some athletes that have found a new home through the transfer portal during the 2025 offseason.

About the most notable moves:

Arkansas is always one of the most active teams in the transfer portal, and it stuck to the script this offseason. The Razorbacks grabbed the top HBCU sprinter of the 2020s in Jamarion Stubbs from Alabama State. Arkansas also picked up Northern Colorado’s Jerome Campbell, the second-place finisher in the 2025 ��ݮ��վ���߿� 60 meter hurdles, in a loaded class.

Iowa State signed a pair of potential scores in the 800 meters in Kirk “Kirk with the Kick” Dawkins and Sam Austin. The two head north from the Sunshine State.

After Washington State made immense cuts to its sprint program, LSU grabbed Grant Buckmiller out of the portal.

The top two moves in the transfer portal came from Oregon. The Ducks grabbed multi-time WORLD AND ��ݮ��վ���߿� discus record holder Mykolas Alekna from Cal and Mississippi State’s Peyton Bair after he swept the combined event ��ݮ��վ���߿� titles in the 2025 indoor and outdoor seasons.

The newest Texas A&M track transfers include Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi via Baylor and Micah Larry from Georgia. Nnamdi has been one of the top javelin throwers in the ��ݮ��վ���߿� since 2022 and Larry finished fourth in the 2025 indoor long jump.

Another transfer portal move that drew national headlines was the transfer of Solomon Kipchoge to Washington State from Texas Tech. Kipchoge will be a 29-year old (yes, you read that right) sophomore this season.

About the most notable moves:

Florida was active in the transfer portal this offseason, and Arizona transfer Jade Brown and Iowa Pualine Bikembo could be names we’re hearing come championship season. LSU’s Shawnti Jackson was one of the top track and field recruits ever after becoming just the third American high schooler to run sub-11 in the 100 meters. 

Elsewhere, Oregon grabbed a national championship contender in the short hurdles in Micaela De Mello from Washington State. Eastern Kentucky transfer Bahiya El Arfaoui also joins a deep mid-distance group in Eugene.

South Carolina might have the best sprint room in the country after grabbing Alexis Brown from Lenoir-Rhyne. Brown is the fastest DII sprinter in ��ݮ��վ���߿� history, holding multiple records. She’ll join Bowerman semifinalist JaMeesia Ford and sprinter Cynterria James in what could be an electric sprint group for the Gamecocks.

Texas picked up a pair of throwers from Cal. Valentina Savva finished 10th in the hammer throw this year as a freshman, and Giavonna Meeks finished 6th indoors in the weight throw in 2024.

Lastly, Leah Stephens heads to UCLA from NC State. Stephens was the fourth-lowest stick for the Wolfpack as a freshman, helping them three-peat.
